The story

Many people died in this 1798 house during its years as a boarding house, including Louisa Fatio in 1875. Visitors describe cold spots between the kitchen and the main house, sounds from empty rooms and a female figure the museum calls Miss Madison.

Visitors. Open to the public (museum; after-hours candlelight tours).
