The story

Queensland's largest cemetery, with about 120,000 burials, has been handed down in Brisbane folklore for generations. Stories include boxer Peter Jackson's ghost ready for one more round, a pale beauty said to roam Avenue 12 and Spook Hill, where a car left in neutral is said to roll uphill toward the graves of two young women.

Visitors. Open daily 6am-6pm; licensed night ghost tours.
